Don’t finish your Super Bowl party in jail for drunk driving

The Super Bowl is just around the corner, and this means Super Bowl parties will abound in this football-loving area. If you are planning on heading out to one of these parties, take the time now to make plans to get home safely.

If the party is at a friend’s house, consider asking if you can stay there Sunday night so that you can sleep off the effects of any alcohol you drink. If the party is at a pub or somewhere else, find a designated driver right now. We know you want to stay safe and in compliance with the law.

Even the best laid plans might change at the last minute. If you are at the party, have a few drinks and get ready to leave, you might find that your ride home suddenly has other plans. This could lead you to decide to just drive yourself home. After all, you didn’t have that much to drink.

Unfortunately, you are running the risk of being arrested on drunk driving charges if you leave the party and drive yourself home after drinking. Even if you only had a few beers, there is a chance that your blood alcohol concentration level will be higher than what is allowed by law.

If you find yourself facing criminal charges this weekend, know your rights. Pay attention to what is going on when you got stopped, and learn about your options for handling the charge.

We can help you with all of the legal aspects of your situation. From fighting the charge in court to dealing with the license suspension, we’ll explain your options so that you can make informed decisions about the course of action you ultimately choose.
